A new journey on YouTube

Let's educate the world!

Hi, friends!

This is the first-ever newsletter that I’m sending your way. The plan is to update you about what I read/watched that last week, what I’m up to, and about my life, in general, every Friday. Do let me know if you have other ideas.

I started a YouTube channel

I finally started a YouTube channel. I’m currently working on a lecture series on ‘Probability and Statistics’. I’ll review my priorities once it is done. Be sure to visit the channel and watch the videos. If you like them, please leave a comment, hit the like button, and subscribe to show your support. From now on, new videos should be uploaded everyday.

The goal is to make enough video lessons so that anyone living in India with an internet connection can get world-class lessons from the comfort of their homes.

I read one book last week — Educated by Tara Westover. The book narrates the incredible story of the author, how she defied all odds and went on to earn a PhD from the University of Cambridge. To be honest, I was left teary-eyed by the end. Her parents did not believe in Public Education, so she did not attend school.

She taught herself for the ACT, a standardised test in the US and got into BYU. She nearly died when she was young because of an accident. But she survived and went on to do great things, defying everything and everyone. If there is one memoir that I’d recommend to anyone, it is this.

The book made me realised how fortunate I am and cleared my confusion about whether to pursue higher studies or sit for college placements. Deep in my heart, I always knew I wanted to get a PhD as well. So, I decided that I’ll work as much as I can for the remainder of my undergraduate degree and go off to graduate school. I’ll let you know more in the coming days.

I think that’s enough for the first-ever newsletter. Stay tuned for longer and more interesting newsletters. I love you all.

Since you’ve reached this point — Take a moment to breathe and reflect on the good things in your life. Take a deep breath, in through the nose and out through the mouth, and enjoy this moment.

Have a great weekend!

x,
