Black Coffee and Insects
Hey, friends!
Last week was a good one. I was not as productive as one would expect, but it was nice nonetheless. There were icecreams, cricket games, and late-night bicycle rides.
I'm still waiting for an update on the interviews that I attended recently. I'll hopefully get them next week and include an update in next week's issue of this newsletter. And I received a call for an interview from FMS, Delhi. We'll see what happens.
The COVID-19 scenario is pretty scary. A guy tested positive in one of the blocks in my hall. There is a curfew on movements from 10PM to 6AM until 30th April 2021 because of the rising cases in Kanpur city. All shops close by 9PM, so that's a bummer. I just hope they vaccinate everyone soon enough so that we can go back to normal.
My sleep over the past few days has been interrupted by insects in my room. I don't know what they are called, but these tiny creatures, which look like butterflies, have been wreaking havoc. Luckily, my wild attempt of chasing them out using room freshener actually worked, so I'm pretty happy about that. But yeah, insects are very irritating!
On a positive note, I discovered that black coffee does not taste as bad as I thought. Sure, I still hate espresso, but the regular brew coffee without milk tastes great. I discovered it almost by accident. I did not have milk in my room, so I just made black coffee, put some sugar, and tasted it. Now, I could have waited a night, get milk and then make the coffee, but I had reasons to stay up. Nevertheless, I'm happy that I discovered the superb black coffee taste.
Please watch the cute little video that I made, linked below. I think the editing and cinematography are not up to the mark. Still, I'll try and make more videos and hopefully learn along the way.
Take care, stay safe. I hope you have a great weekend.
