Tentative New Beginnings
Hi, friends!
My 4600-word "As We Leave" essay is finally published by Vox Populi, IIT Kanpur. You can find the essay here, and alternatively here. The essay attempts to summarize the incredible journey I had at IIT Kanpur. I initially set out to write a 10,000-word essay but decided not to. Although, I might write a director's-cut sort of thing sometime in the near future that's twice the length of the published essay.
Other than life happening online, there isn't much going on at the moment. I cannot go out of the house because there is a curfew, and when the non-curfew hours are too sunny to be out anyway. I hope we get back to leading our normal lives as soon as possible. Given the current scenario, I think that's being very hopeful.
On the academic front, I have finally (officially) graduated from IIT Kanpur. I received my final grades just two days ago. Looking back, it did not end as bad as I imagined it to be. I had pretty grim hopes in my second year. So, I'm really glad that the ending is sort of a happy one.
I've also been busy with trying to meet deadlines for IIM Bangalore's admission process. You know, filling out the loan application form, getting the documentation done and so on. I still have quite a lot of things to do, and deadlines to meet but hopefully they shoudn't be as hectic.
On a happier note, I've met some new people already. Although, the meets were online, it is nice to know people with whom you're gonna spend the next two years and possibly a lifetime of friendship. I'm just so excited to meet them in person.
Take care. See you soon in person. And please please get vaccinated as soon as you can.
