The Windmill - Issue #19
Hi, friends!
I am so happy. We recently had what is called the "Harvard Dinner." I know, it's a fancy name for an ordinary dinner. Legend has it that it used to be a special dinner hosted to appreciate the visiting professors from Harvard in the '60s and '70s. The food was edible, but the evening was a special one.
I met up with many people (read snapped group photos) amid a busy week. And I'm happy that I did that for two reasons - I put my suit and formal shoes to use, and I did not spend time in my room overthinking my life. It was a win-win situation. Besides, it's always a happy moment to run into the person you have a crush on.
The campus is gearing up for Diwali celebrations, as with the entire state. That means I have to be more careful while walking down the flight of stairs because they decided to wash every surface. I missed out on buying candles from the kids, though. That is a bummer. (If you have spare candles, can you please donate a few to me? LOL.)
Like I said previously, I have not been to Western India before this, so I am kind of excited for Diwali. For some reason, we have four days of holidays for Diwali, and I still can't come to terms with that fact. Although, to be fair to IIMA, we have our midterms just the week after that. So, everything is balanced, as it should be.
I have hectic weeks ahead, but hopefully, I'll still find time to send out weekly newsletters. I hope you are staying safe—happy Diwali (if you celebrate it). I wish you a happy festive season. Take care. Enjoy a few photos from that evening.
